Getting Here

Hood River is about 60 miles from the Portland International Airport and is accessible by shuttle or car, via I-84.

Hood River is served by Greyhound bus. Our local bus, CAT, goes to and from Portland twice a day on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (https://catransit.org/)

Amtrak leaves Portland/Vancouver daily and stops in Bingen, Washington, which is just a short cab ride from Hood River. Tickets for this scenic train ride can be purchased online.

Getting Around

Hood River County Transportation District’s Columbia Area Transit (CAT) service provides fixed route service between Hood River and Portland on Tuesdays and Thursdays except for major holidays and if weather conditions make it unsafe or hazardous to travel.  This is a fixed route service, so it is first-come, first-served.
