Hood River Foodie February 2019-01-08T21:12:45+00:00

Hood River Foodie February

Located in the agriculturally-rich Hood River valley, Hood River has an innovative, regionally-inspired food scene that rivals its big city neighbors but is infused with small-town charm. (The San Jose Mercury News dubbed Hood River “a food paradise.”)

This February kicks off the second annual Hood River Foodie February – a month-long celebration of the area’s delicious dining scene, giving visitors and locals alike the chance to support local restaurants and discover some of the best food and menus in the region.

New this year is the Foodie February Sandwich Smackdown. Just for Foodie February, participating member restaurants are creating a unique specialty sandwich to ‘compete’ against the other Sandwich Smackdown offerings. Bring on the mouth-watering sammies, grinders, paninis, hoagies, burgers or subs to warm your bellies all month long. You can see (and drool) by following Hood River on FacebookInstagram and Twitter.

Another great way to enjoy Foodie February visit restaurants you have never tried before and share your photos via Instagram. Tag your photos #visithoodriver, #HRfoodiefebruary, #HRsandwhichsmackdown. Make it a foodie getaway and plan your multi-day stay!

5 Ways to Celebrate Foodie February

Hood River is well known for its natural beauty, access to the great outdoors, and thriving beer, wine & cider scenes. But it also offers something many other small towns lack: a talented pool of local chefs committed to sourcing their ingredients from the agriculturally-rich lands nearby. (Hood River is located within the Hood River Valley, home to hundreds of farms and orchards.)
